This person is actually my therapist’s teacher. One day he mentioned going to see his teacher and I asked who he was. When he said Lama Surya Das I was shocked. I knew my therapist had had me read one of his books but I didn’t know he actually “knew” him.

Awwww Chai, I want to meet you too! That was so sweet of you :) I am not just doing this because you did it, I truly want to meet you. I even volunteered to be your retreat buddy, how is that for a friend!
I want to meet Chai because I find her to be an unconditional friend who is inspiring, good hearted, and authentic. We met on Shelfari (that I found by “accident”) in a women’s group that Chai had just created. She wasn’t sure if she was going to go through with it and almost deleted it until I e-mailed her and told her I was so excited about it! It was complete and utter serendipity. Now I am so happy to be Chai’s friend and I can’t wait to meet her in person!
